“Digital Nova Scotia is unwavering in our commitment to fostering growth in our province’s vibrant tech sector,” said Owen Sagness, CEO of Digital Nova Scotia. “With the introduction of Tech Sales Plus, we are well-positioned to support local employers in finding talent equipped with both technical and soft skills, which has been identified as an area of industry need.”
The partnership includes a pilot with DIGITAL, Canada’s Global Innovation Cluster for digital technologies, to explore how Uvaro’s synchronous career courses and career services would increase employment potential and satisfaction, by broadening skills and marketability beyond Atlantic companies. The pilot is additionally funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program.
"Supporting equity and diversity within Canada’s technology sector is crucial to our country’s continued growth and prosperity,” said Sydney Goodfellow, Director of DIGITAL’s talent-focused program, the Digital Learning Lab.
