KITCHENER, ON — December 20, 2023 — Uvaro, a leader in career development training, announced a transformative partnership with WatSPEED, the professional and executive education arm of the University of Waterloo.

This collaboration, which forms part of the Upskill Canada initiative powered by Palette Skills and the Government of Canada, introduced two new Career Accelerators in 'Cybersecurity' and 'Advanced Manufacturing'. These programs represent a significant step in industry-focused efforts to empower and reskill Canadian workers.

Backed by the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada's (ISED) Upskilling for Industry Initiative, this program aims to positively influence over 15,000 Canadians through Upskill Canada's tailored approach to skills training.

Joseph Fung, CEO and Co-Founder of Uvaro, shared enthusiasm for this groundbreaking initiative: "We're excited to announce our partnership with WatSPEED. Slated to begin in January 2024, these two new Career Accelerator programs will open doors for those seeking career transformation in 'Cybersecurity' and 'Advanced Manufacturing'. Participants will have access to Uvaro's Career Services and Career Coaching through WatSPEED programming. These accelerator programs are meticulously crafted to include essential training in technical and professional skills, complemented by personalized career coaching, industry engagement, and extensive job-ready skills development over a 13-week period.
