Women in Tech Scholarship

This scholarship was established in partnership with Garage Capital in recognition of the need to achieve gender equality in the workplace. The goal of this scholarship is to increase representation of women in software and technology companies to shape a more equitable future for the industry. 

  • Eligible recipients must self-identify as a woman.
  • Scholarships are non transferable.
  • Scholarships are applied to partial program fees. If the scholarship recipient leaves the program prior to graduation, standard program fees are paid for by the scholarship amount. Any outstanding scholarship amount is forfeit.
  • To be considered for a scholarship, an applicant must complete the scholarship application form before the cut off date. 
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have not received any Uvaro scholarship previously.
  • Selection is based on the strongest match between career development needs and Uvaro’s program offering. 
  • To receive the scholarship and enroll in the course, all enrollment and scholarship documents must be completed.
  • Only those who have enrolled or graduated AFTER September 1st, 2021 will be eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Women of Color in Tech Scholarship

This scholarship was established in partnership with BWOSS in recognition of the need to achieve gender equality and diverse women representation in the workplace. The goal of this scholarship is to increase representation of women of color in software and technology companies to shape a more equitable future for the industry. 

  • Eligible recipients must self-identify as a Black woman, Indigenous woman, or woman of color
  • Scholarships are non transferable.
  • Scholarships are applied to partial program fees. If the scholarship recipient leaves the program prior to graduation, standard program fees are paid for by the scholarship amount. Any outstanding scholarship amount is forfeit.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have not received any Uvaro scholarship previously.
  • Selection is based on the strongest match between career development needs and Uvaro’s program offering.

The scholarship covers 100% of your Uvaro program fees, which is a value of $5,000 USD. It is automatically applied by Uvaro once you have been notified of being a recipient and re-confirmed your participation in the program.

Yes. Speak with your Admissions Consultant to make any changes to your enrollment, including your program start date.

You will remain enrolled in the course, and the payment plan you selected at time of enrollment will apply.

Scholarship recipients are selected and announced once every three months. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a scholarship.

In this case, we recommend that you apply for a program that starts AFTER scholarship winners are announced. If you are not selected as a scholarship recipient, you are able to reapply to enroll and be considered for the scholarship for future programs. 

Not being selected for a scholarship will not impact your application for future scholarships.

In addition, each scholarship has unique eligibility criteria. For example, to be eligible for the Women in Tech Scholarship, an applicant must self-identify as a woman, and indicate that on their application form. For full scholarship details please refer to our scholarship descriptions.

Uvaro currently offers two scholarships: Women in Tech, and Women of Color in Tech

If you are not selected for a scholarship on a given cycle, you are welcome to reapply.

If you’ve enrolled in Uvaro AFTER September 1st, 2021 and the cut off date has yet to pass, you can visit our scholarship page and access the correct form to apply. If the cut off date has passed then your enrollment will not be considered eligible for a scholarship.

Eligible scholarship recipients include those members who are enrolled, or who have graduated, AFTER September 1st, 2021. If this applies to you then you may submit your application to whichever scholarship you are eligible for.
