HSE Coordinator – Midland, TX Based
Responsible for implementation and maintenance of the Health, Safety, and
Environmental program at the location of responsibility. This role will be
responsible for the successful implementation of all requirements identified
within the HSEMS. The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for compliance to the
HSE File Management System (FMS). The HSE Coordinator will adhere to all the
DTI HSE policies.
Education:
- High School Diploma / College experience preferred
• PEC-Core Compliance Training / SafeGulf / SafeLand Training preferred
- RCRA (Resource Conservation & Recovery Act) Training preferred
Experience:
- Experience focused on behavioral based culture
- Experience in public speaking
- Preferred oil and gas and/or manufacturing industry experience
- Have knowledge and experience in enforcing compliance of Regulatory
- Experience developing and managing environmental program that meets
- DOT and FMCSA compliance experience
- Experience monitoring SPCC and SWPPP plans and environmental
- Categorizing and properly maintaining waste collection areas for
hazardous and non-hazardous waste
Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications relevant to the job
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills required for the coordination of HSE activities for
multiple projects at once
Key Responsibilities/ Essential Functions of the Position:
- Develop a strong understanding of the DTI HSE Management System and
Qualification procedure
- Assist in compliance reviews, activity specific assessments and other
management.
- Assist in ensuring compliance to applicable Federal, State, and local
- Implementation and continued management of a behavioral based
- Implement, review, revise and update all level III HSE policies and
- Development and delivery of effective HSE training program to meet
- Coordinate training and maintenance of training documentation per the
- Participate in detailed HSE investigations and Root Cause Analysis on all
- Responsible for the creation of HSE Alerts based on investigation
- Analyze accident/incident information to identify trends and suggest
- Perform routine facility HSE Inspections.
- Ability to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE.
- Provide assistance and advice on HSE concerns, making
- Work with H/R to ensure proper records are kept per agencies
- Coordinate with H/R on claims management.
- Analyze all HSE items reported within the REACT system and take action
- Implement and maintain a safety, environmental and DOT audit
schedule per location, department and/or specific equipment. Ensure
audits and any corrective action taken are properly documented for both
internal and third-party audits.
- Maintain Safety committees to reinforce safety awareness in a manner
- Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural improvements in
- Assist in administering and maintaining compliance programs such as
Respiratory Protection, BBP, etc.
