Job Description
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will support the estimating team to perform a variety of Estimating Functions to support the day-to-day operations
Primary Scope of Role:
- Taking Quantity Take-offs
- Contacting Suppliers & Sub-Trades for Pricing
- Working within In Eight Estimate Estimating System
- Tracking Quantity & Production
- Assisting the Estimators & Managers on project management
- In Field Quantity Measurements.
Position Requirements:
- Completed Civil Engineering or College Graduate (Civil Engineering Technician/Technology Program).
- Strong communication skills: reading, writing and oral skills in English.
- Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
- Strong knowledge and use of computer software (MS Office programs)
- Prior co-op and/or practical experience in a heavy civil construction environment is an asset.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
