Job Description

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will support the estimating team to perform a variety of Estimating Functions to support the day-to-day operations

Primary Scope of Role:

  • Taking Quantity Take-offs
  • Contacting Suppliers & Sub-Trades for Pricing
  • Working within In Eight Estimate Estimating System
  • Tracking Quantity & Production
  • Assisting the Estimators & Managers on project management
  • In Field Quantity Measurements.

Position Requirements:

  • Completed Civil Engineering or College Graduate (Civil Engineering Technician/Technology Program).
  • Strong communication skills: reading, writing and oral skills in English.
  • Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
  • Strong knowledge and use of computer software (MS Office programs)
  • Prior co-op and/or practical experience in a heavy civil construction environment is an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
