Graebel Companies is seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft Security Engineer to join our dynamic and global team to secure our Azure cloud infrastructure and workforce. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience in implementing and maintaining security solutions across Azure cloud environments and M365. This role involves collaborating with IT teams to identify risks, implement controls, and enhance the organization's overall security posture.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure security solutions, including Entra ID and Azure Security Center.
  • Develop and maintain Identity and Access Management including policies, conditional access, single sign-on integrations and least privilege access controls.

  • Implement and monitor Azure security tools, such as: Azure Defender, Azure Key Vault, Azure Firewall, and Azure Policy.

  • Implement and manage M365 security tools, including:

    • Microsoft Defender for Office 365

    • Microsoft Defender for Identity

    • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

    • Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager

  • Configure and maintain compliance tools, including sensitivity labels, retention policies and insider risk management.

  • Collaborate with global technology teams to integrate security controls in the cloud using standardized configuration tools.

  • Monitor cloud environments for security incidents and anomalies and respond to suspected incidents in a timely manner.

  • Provide security expertise and support to internal teams during the design, development, and deployment of infrastructure, applications, and services.

  • Work with external partners and customers to address security-related issues and escalations.

  • Assist with sales enablement including requests for proposal, updating documentation, and providing responses in timely manner.




Required Skills
  • Hands-on experience (3+ years) implementing and securing MS Azure.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, cloud configurations, cloud security tools, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Experience with networking in cloud environment native security controls including network access controls, next generation firewalls and web application firewalls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve security issues quickly.
  • Demonstrated experience as a cloud security practitioner that embraces a speak up culture to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.



Required Experience
  • Experience with scripting preferred.
  • Cloud based certifications in Azure are a plus.
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, etc.) are a plus.

As a testament to our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, our salary bands are transparent both internally and as a part of our external recruitment process.The targets for this role are dependent on market/ geographic location and range from $90,000-$165,000 CAD.
