JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Building Manager to supervise the maintenance and security of the property, ensuring a well-maintained and efficiently managed environment for residents, tenants, and visitors.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and supervise the site as directed by the Property Manager (PM)
- Routinely patrol the site and report issues or damages.
- Coordinate trades upon approval from the PM.
- Provide access to or issue fobs for tradespeople.
- Assist with Door-to-Door delivery of notices, when required.
- Post notices for vehicles staying in visitor stalls for extended periods without a pass.
- Maintain consistent communication with the PM to ensure the building is secure, maintained, and running smoothly.
- Respond promptly to tenant questions and requests.
- Verify fire alarms and determine validity.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in facility management, preferably in residential settings
- Experience with pool testing and maintenance is preferred. However, candidates without prior pool testing experience will be provided with training opportunities.
- Reliable and punctual
- Possess a keen eye for detail
- Customer service experience is an asset
- Computer skills (email, word document)
- Effective verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to deal with residents in a professional, positive, and friendly manner
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am-5pm)
Location: Richmond, BC
Preferred: Chinese/Mandarin Language
Pay: $24-$25 per hour
Experience:
- Building manager: 2 years (preferred)
- Handyman: 1 year (preferred)
