What You’ll Do as a DevOps Engineer

  • Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment
  • Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform) for performance and cost- efficiency
  • Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions to detect and resolve bottlenecks, errors, and security risks
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability using best practices in cloud architecture
  • Maintain security measures to protect infrastructure and data from unauthorized access and threats
  • Work closely with development teams to seamlessly integrate applications with infrastructure
  • Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues efficiently
  • Evaluate and enhance DevOps processes and tools to improve efficiency and performance
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing

What You Bring to the Team

  • Five to ten years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role within software development
  • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and cloud services
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as BitBucket Pipelines or similar
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog
  • Proficiency with Git and version control best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bonus Points for
  • Google Cloud Platform certifications
  • Experience with serverless computing
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards
  • Contributions to open-source projects or personal development work
