The Business Development and CRM Support employee acts and supports specific tasks related to our CRM, Sales planning and controlling, ensuring support to efficiency and effectiveness improvement, result development, and optimizing customer engagement leading to business growth. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth process of Yusen’s way of Selling in the CRM system - Microsoft Dynamic 365. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales support, CRM management, and a passion for driving sales performance & growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

CRM Management:

  • Serve as the primary superuser and trainer of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system for Yusen Canada.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the CRM system, and alignment with related GHQ strategies and implemented policies.
  • Train and support sales team members on CRM best practices and functionalities, and ensures system usage, data quality and compliance on sales related processes/systems.
  • Issue Report and measure monthly KPIs - Produces and distributes reports on Sales Performance related data – MS D. 365 Weekly/monthly sales activities, Pipeline, Volumes, etc.
  • Develop and implement CRM workflows and automation to enhance efficiency, Executes key processes regarding customer segmentation, portfolio allocation, sales contribution, pipeline management and system data quality.
  • Strong passion for data management and developing customer journey campaigns.

Sales & Admin Support:

  • Assist the Director of Sales with daily Sales operations, including preparing sales reports, coordinating with other departments, including managing Sales leads, and some customer inquiries.
  • Support the sales team in lead generation, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintain and update sales documentation and materials (PowerPoints Presentations, Service Products Flyers, Marketing material & Campaigns).

Assistant to Sales Management:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute sales strategies - Provides advice to Sales management on strategy implementation, measurements, and developments, triggering corrective actions and best utilization of resources.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide insights for improvements - Supports management on coordinating & controlling the sales cycles (target setting, business planning, controlling and continuous improvement) & process execution.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts - Tests, validates, and proposes ideas for future improvement of definitions, concepts, processes, systems and reports relevant for sales.
  • Participate in sales meetings and provide administrative support in some aspect as needed.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and analyze sales reports to track performance and identify trends.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to be shared with senior management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience & Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system.
  • Proven experience in sales support, CRM management, and/or sales management related to Logistics, Freight-forwarding, and Supply Chain services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, in Marketing, Information Technology or related field strongly preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of practical CRM experience, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel) required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
