Job Description
The Business Development Specialist advances ImagiCorps’ growth strategy and is first and foremost responsible for collaborating with the Sales organization to advancing ImagiCorps’ business opportunities through bespoke, creative, and effective lead acquisitions aligned with pre-determined industry/brand targets. The role requires staff to deeply understand all facets of the Experiential space and an ability to successfully inform and recommend ImagiCorps products and services within that space. The Business Development Manager would leverage CRM platforms, data-mining software, lead-gen solutions, creativity, ingenuity, and grit to identify, organize and present specific sales contacts within pre-determined targets, and to recommend and present strategies and subsequent intelligence data to equip Sales for outreach. There is an expectation and opportunity for this position to collaborate with Sales in all facets of the sales process. Candidates must have exceptional communications skills, interpersonal skills, active listening skills and a passion for business development strategies, intelligence gathering, and sales. The Business Development Manager is responsible for collaborating, co-creating, and advancing strategies that successfully drive increased revenue across all ImagiCorps established revenue streams/experiential sales channels (Exhibits, Events, Retail Experiences and Creative Services). .
We are looking for an accountable, self-starter who can build business by identifying and selling prospects while maintaining a relationship with clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Mapping to defined strategy and target list(s), utilize available data, resources, and tools to investigate and present sales leads, and collaborate to convert leads into opportunities to sell ImagiCorps products and services.
- Collaborate to define and/or revise a concise process for Project and Account teams to capture existing client information in an accurate and ongoing basis.
- Conduct industry intelligence, news reports, Brand press releases, and ancillary market research to identify and recommend selling possibilities and emerging existing/potential customer needs
- Collaborate and advance internal Creative Services and Marketing teams to create and/or refine effective assets communicating ImagiCorps capabilities, products and services and positioning of ImagiCorps as an ideal creative and production resource in the Experiential space
- Assist Project and Account Managers to facilitate accurate project estimates and scope. Subsequently, partner to create thorough and Statements of Work for the projects, as the final step in the sales process before closure.
- Act as ImagiCorps’ ambassador of experiential marketing and when needed, communicate expectations of ImagiCorps production aligned to the highest possible level of quality and service, with prompt, reliable and courteous delivery and/or fulfillment.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in the industry and utilize that knowledge to develop new programs, projects and products which will increase our client base, and increase revenue. Expand the range of services and products offered to new and existing clients. Attend trade shows as required and join relevant affiliations.
- Identify, document, monitor, and present ImagiCorps competition and identify potential clients.
- Collaborate with in-house marketing team in support of our sales initiatives and opportunities. Help create our “voice.”
- Maintain accurate records of all client contacts in our CRM. (Conversation Diary, Memos, Letters, etc.). Generate weekly progress reports and review them to demonstrate objectives to execution efficacy. Publish and present reports concerning business development and sales activities as appropriate.
- Act in a professional manner by setting the example in dress, demeanor, and attitude. Completing and reporting on allocation of time/time sheets daily.
- Travel as required in support of sales activity locally as appropriate for our markets served.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Must have excellent client focus, communication, and Interpersonal effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors in sales, marketing, business administration or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in the Experiential Marketing and/or Experiential Sales space with broad Experiential Marketing experience (preferred) or minimum required focus (acceptable) in at least one of ImagiCorps’ specific revenue verticals (Retail Experiences, Exhibits, Events, Tours, or Corporate Environments e.g. Visitor’s Centers, Innovation Centers, etc.)
- Possess a fundamental understanding of industry standards in design, engineering, fabrication, deployment and wide format digital printing.
SKILLS
- Demonstrate sales experience and ability in relevant industries selling comparative products and services.
- Type 40+ WMP and computer knowledge of MS Products, Word, PowerPoint Excel, Outlook and CRM Platform(s) and Sales intelligence data platforms.
- Ability to respond appropriately to constant change in priorities and services as dictated by the Vice President in the service of the client.
- Polished and effective written and oral communication skills with a track record of successful relationship building. Along with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate a great sense of self-motivation, ambition, grit, determination and a sense of humor
ABILITIES
- Adapt and adjust to changing priorities and changing sense of urgency. Able to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Follow through on commitments, and consistency in our sales and marketing efforts.
- Able to read blueprints, design concepts and sketch ideas extemporaneously.
- High level of resilience and ability to handle rejection well.
