JOB SUMMARY

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial matters. The Controller will play a crucial role in financial reporting, budget management, and internal controls. The role is remote with some travel to work sites.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Financial Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights, trends, and variances.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established controls.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet the organization's operational needs. Analyze and recommend improvements to optimize working capital.
  • Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with all tax regulations. Prepare and file corporate tax returns.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Provide insights and recommendations for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and overall financial improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.

WHO YOU ARE

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 3-5+ years experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding social, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
