Job Description:
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst for an 18-months contract. The QA Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the applications being tested and verifying that the application has been designed as per specifications. All documents related to the QA process for the project should be developed, catalogued, and maintained according to project standards. In addition to the above responsibilities, the QA Analyst will also support data-related tasks such as data clean-up, validation, and matching to enhance the accuracy and reliability of business operations.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Work closely with the Vice President, Operations, IT Department and its developers to gather and understand business requirements from various business units, develop test strategy and design test plan accordingly.
- Identify and develop test scenarios/test cases for all business requirements.
- Execute test cases across different environments (e.g., staging, production).
- Perform manual testing on various in-house applications, including functional testing (smoke, sanity, and regression), usability, exploratory, compatibility, cross-browser, security, and acceptance testing.
- Conduct integration testing to validate seamless interaction and data flow between the applications.
- Assess application performance through load testing under varying user loads.
- Test in-house applications developed using .NET and ensure functionality and reliability.
- Verify website updates by testing all changes made to the organization’s website.
- Update and manage test case repositories.
- Identify, document, and track bugs or issues using a defect tracking system (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
- Provide detailed reproduction steps and attach supporting evidence (e.g., screenshots, logs).
- Follow-up proactively with developers for defect resolution.
- Identify risks associated when prioritizing defects and fixes for inclusion or exclusion in a release.
- Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, test results and other relevant quality assurance activities to support transparency and repeatability of testing processes.
- Provide work estimates to the Project Manager for inclusion into detailed project schedule.
- Coordinate and conduct end-user acceptance testing with stakeholders (UAT).
- Support training and documentation for end users.
- Perform data clean-up tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency across datasets.
- Perform Data Augmentation from multiple sources to identify discrepancies and ensure alignment.
- Be adaptable to additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in analyzing, planning, developing and executing Test Plans and Test Cases.
- Experience working in a large and multiple project environment.
- Experience testing web applications (User experience, functional, in-house developed products and solutions built on SaaS products like Salesforce, etc.)
- Strong software testing experience in the IT industry, specifically, as part of a team responsible for delivering Quality Assurance for IT projects.
- Ability to use Agile tools like TFS or Jira to track and report defects.
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
- Candidates with familiarity in SQL and Salesforce will be preferred.
