Position Summary

We are looking for an Infrastructure Architect with considerable experience in Azure's IaaS and PaaS technology. With your social and technical skills, you will provide guidance, insight, and direction on everything from roles and responsibilities to engineering methodologies and best practices.

Your primary focus will be to lead digital transformation initiatives and guide our customers through strategic and operational challenges related to cloud infrastructure. This could mean cloud adoption, monitoring, and technical road mapping in tight collaboration with technical teams and IT leaders, with the ultimate goal of establishing sustainable and effective cloud infrastructure that meets both IT and Business needs.

As an expert advisor within Azure, you will work with various enterprise customers and act as a principal consultant. In a project setting, this means supporting and providing guidance at any point of the implementation process, from proposal to delivery.

Job Description

  • Design and Implement Azure Solutions – Lead the architecture and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-availability Azure infrastructure solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Cloud Migration – Plan and execute migrating on-premises infrastructure to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance during the transition.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery – Architect solutions with built-in redundancy, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery strategies to meet business continuity and availability requirements.
  • Infrastructure as Code – Utilize tools like ARM, Bicep, and Terraform to automate infrastructure deployments, ensuring consistency and speed in the provisioning of resources.
  • Security and Compliance – Implement Azure security features, such as Azure AD, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and network security groups, to protect infrastructure while adhering to compliance standards.
  • Performance Optimization – Continuously monitor and optimize Azure resources for performance and cost-efficiency, ensuring workloads run smoothly and within budget.
  • Networking Architecture – Design and manage secure, scalable network solutions using Azure Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, and VPNs, ensuring connectivity across regions and hybrid environments.
  • Collaboration and Leadership – Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align Azure solutions with business needs, providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting – Implement monitoring solutions like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution within the Azure environment.
  • Documentation and Training – Develop comprehensive architectural documentation and provide training to teams on Azure best practices, cloud adoption strategies, and security.

Required Experience

Do you have:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure on an IaaS and PaaS level
  • Good knowledge of IT infrastructure (e.g. networks, firewalls, load balancers, virtual machines)
  • Experience working with Azure administration and security (e.g. Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Defender and Azure Policy)
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g. Powershell, Bash, Python)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and infrastructure as code (e.g. ARM, Bicep or Terraform)

And also maybe:

  • Experience within any orchestration platform (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker Swarm or Service Fabric)
  • A good understanding of cloud adoption and migration
  • Microsoft certifications in cloud, security or O365

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
