TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR & RESEARCH CHAIR IN
DIGITAL AGRICULTURE

The Faculties of Science and of Forestry & Environmental Management (ForEM) at the
University of New Brunswick in Fredericton invite applications for a tenure track appointment
at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Digital Agriculture (depending on experience
level). Candidates should have a PhD in agricultural sciences. The successful candidate must
be prepared to teach and conduct research in the areas of digital agriculture such as
sensing, phenotyping, smart farming, crop and environmental modelling, pest management,
and precision agriculture. Experience evaluating impacts of climate change, and soil nutrient
management would be an asset.
As a research chair, the successful candidate will have a reduced teaching load and be
expected to teach within either faculty, at either the undergraduate or graduate level.
Evidence of high-quality teaching and relevant professional and research experience is
expected. The successful candidate will be assessed by objectively documented
achievement of a continuing and satisfactory record of teaching competence.
The salary range and fringe benefits for this position is defined in the Association of University
of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2022 - 2025 Collective Agreement sections 35 and 36B.
The successful candidate will be expected to be engaged in a program of research,
scholarly, or creative activity within their area of expertise. Graduate student supervision and
mentoring will be an important element.

teaching experience, including a teaching philosophy (up to 2 pages); (iv) a statement of
research and scholarly output, including a brief summary of the candidates three most
significant contributions and their impacts (up to 2 pages); and (iv) the contact information
