Job Description
The SAP Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing SAP solutions to meet organizational needs. They work closely with business stakeholders, SAP consultants, and IT teams to ensure system integrity and provide strategic recommendations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of SAP modules relevant to the organization, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities to bridge business requirements with technical solutions.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify system inefficiencies and recommend SAP solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
SAP System Configuration & Support
- Configure SAP Business One based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with third party partners for customization, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure configurations align with SAP best practices and business objectives.
Process Improvement
- Analyze and redesign business processes to improve efficiency and align with SAP capabilities.
- Propose changes to processes, systems, and structures that optimize SAP usage.
- Ensure all processes support organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test plans for SAP solutions to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, documenting solutions for future reference.
User Training & Support
- Develop training materials and provide end-user training on SAP functionalities.
- Act as a point of contact for user queries and SAP-related issues, offering solutions and support.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Project Management Support
- Support project management activities, including timeline management, progress tracking, and risk management.
- Assist in change management efforts to support successful implementation and adoption of SAP solutions.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in SAP Business Analysis or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business One modules relevant to the organization
- Proficiency in SAP configuration, and data migration tools such as Data Transfer Workbench
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, business processes, and integration points.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and map them to SAP solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- SAP certification in SAP Business One an asset
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools like Oracle FCCS an asset
- Inventory, Manufacturing, Cost Accounting, or Supply Chain background is preferred.
- Experience with Excel for Analytics, Power BI or other Analytics and Visualization tools.
- Experience/familiarity with querying languages such as SQL.
- Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned business rules to scale on large data sets.
- Salesforce and Power BI experience is a plus.
- Intermediate to expert level experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
