To support these activities, we are currently seeking one full time, Business Development Managers covering the Western US.
Key Responsibilities of Role:
This position will support the achievement of annual sales goals as defined by the organizational budget and incentive compensation plans. This role is responsible for selling activities with existing and prospective customers to include regional business strategy / planning, sales forecasting, sales execution, and KOL development to support meeting / exceeding revenue plan. The primary focus is to grow the NIOX business across the assigned Americas geographical area through both individual efforts to increasing utilization within existing customer accounts and expanding implementation across healthcare institutions and practices. Where necessary, collaborate with external contract sales representatives, to strengthen our regional and/or national sales opportunities.
The Business Development Manager will lead the strategy responsible for formulating growth initiatives that measurably improve the business’ market position, drive differentiated customer performance and achieve financial growth. The role will combine market intelligence, data-driven insights and a deep understanding of customer needs to identify trends, customer opportunities, and develop areas of competitive advantage to drive revenue growth.
The priority customer facing call points for Business Development Manager influence will include primary care (physician offices / specialty clinics) and acute care (IDNs / hospitals). The key “clinical” decision makers will include primary care physicians, pulmonologists, and allergist / immunologist. The key “financial” decision makers will include practice managers, finance administrators, and purchasing / supply chain departments.
Specific / Other responsibilities will include:
- Assist in development and execution of the key strategies that will drive regional growth.
- Analyze active, inactive, and prospect opportunities and promote targeting activities that will drive demand and revenue recognition through customer retention, expansion, and acquisition.
- Collaborate consistently with major distributor partners, contract sales representatives, and internal team members to influence customer activities supporting meeting / exceeding revenue goals.
- Communicate the progress of monthly / quarterly objectives to contract sales representatives, distributor and internal stakeholders; identify areas of concern and assist in generating solutions.
- Develop and execute direct sales strategies and tactics to drive new sales growth.
- Ownership of regional forecasting that supports sustained growth strategies / CRM excellence.
- Foster existing / new KOL relationships to increase awareness, promote best practices, and drive results.
- Propose and implement creative solutions to increase sales, streamline processes, reduce costs, and optimize productivity.
- Management of customer activity to be executed via the leadership & co-ordination of distributor partners, phone calls, email, virtual presentations, and in-person meetings.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty while adhering to SOPs and company policies.
- Strictly adhere to NIOX’s Code of Conduct guidelines, values, travel & entertainment policies.
- Support and ensure compliance with subsidiary QA guidelines for the United States and FDA.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and/or experience required to perform the role:
- Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree considered a plus
- Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of sales / business development experience in sales / marketing of medical devices, will also consider candidates with additional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous responsibilities must include building and maintaining relationships with distributor partners and calling on key decision makers in both primary care (physician offices / specialty clinics) and acute care (IDNs / hospitals)
- This is a remote-based role and candidate will need to be located in the geography covered, ideally near a major metropolitan airport
- Must have valid driving license, travel (car / mass transportation) will be required ~ 50% of time
- Passion to partner with both internal / external team members and contribute at a high level within a collaborative model.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.
- Resilient in the face of competing demands and conflicts and demonstrated success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong business management experience, having managed and successfully delivered results for multiple projects on-time and on-budget.
- Advanced organizational and planning skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and balance competing priorities.
- Demonstrated competency with implementing business processes and activity-based metrics involving leading success indicators.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills.
- Must be proficient with MS Office, sales reporting, and CRM (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, and Salesforce).
Location
This position is based remotely and candidates will need to be located in the geography covered, ideally near a major metropolitan airport.
Our US office is based in Morrisville, NC, situated near the Research Triangle Park (RTP) and close to the RDU Airport. Our Morrisville office is a fully functioning division of the NIOX Group, PLC which is easily accessible from the surrounding areas. Our office also provides access to the great amenities in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill that the area has to offer and is a part of what has made it a Top 10 location to work in the US.
