Job Description:
Experienced Electronic Security Technician Required! This position will be required to work with Access Control systems, CCTV systems and Intrusion Alarm Systems. General knowledge of local building and life safety codes and experience is an asset. The candidate would ideally have a general knowledge of computer networking skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Installation and Service of Entry Control and Cash Handling equipment will be required
· CCTV Video system installations and service as required
· Electronic Security, service, and installations will be required from time to time
· Access and Entry, service and installations will be required from time to time
· Video system installations and service as required
· Be innovative, all client equipment must remain operational at all times. Consider all retrofit options while on-site to effect equipment repairs
· Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs in consultation with clients recommend solutions to enhance physical security measures
· Prepare and submit all paperwork in a timely and businesslike manner Ensure company vehicle is driven and maintained in a manner consistent with policies Responsible for security of company vehicle, tools, equipment and inventory
· Run and pull wire; program and calibrate equipment; adhere to codes, regulations, and standards.
· Other duties as required
Experience requirements:
· Proven diagnostic skills able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems
· Experience in Electronic Security Systems/installations
· Valid class 5 driver’s license is mandatory
· Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a broad range of customers
· Mechanical aptitude and ability to effectively use test equipment, hand and power tools.
· Availability to work variable hours, weekends and/or "on-call" shifts as necessary to meet customer requirements.
· Provide excellent customer service both over the phone and face to face, as well as have an ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences
Knowledge / Education requirements:
· Grade 12 or equivalent
Personality requirements
· Self-motivated and calm under pressure
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
· Intermediate computer skills required
· Works well independently, takes direction well
· The ability to lift more than 25 Kilos
· A criminal background check will be required
· Punctual and reliable
· Moving heavy equipment is involved in this role
