Outside Business Development Manager Job Summary

Join the Hirsch team as an Outside Business Development Manager! We are seeking an experienced and motivated Outside Business Development Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales growth in the plumbing wholesale market.

Requirements:


Job Duties

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the client base within the plumbing wholesale sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and business partners.
  • Identify market trends and customers’ needs to provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct in-person meetings, site visits, and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless product delivery and exceptional customer service.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, competitors, and market opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the plumbing or building materials industry.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing products, systems, and wholesale distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the designated territory.

Job Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age.
  • Must pass a Drug Test.
  • Must pass a Background Test.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment Physical.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two to Five years outside sales experience.
  • Able to perform mathematical computations.
  • Ability to travel locally required.
