Job Description

Title: Business Analyst – MS Business Central

Reports to: VP of IT

Schedule: Regular Full-Time

Location: Langley, B.C.

As the Business Analyst, your role is to act as a relationship partner to the business units to facilitate functional and non-functional requirements of the services we select, and build, to address the business needs and deliver value.

This role requires knowledge of the wide spectrum of Business software from Sales, Inventory control, Distribution and Finance. You should have a strong multi-disciplinary Sales, Inventory, Finance background.

Essential Functions Includes

  • Consults with business leaders and IT business representatives to ensure understanding of requirements and their alignment to future strategic direction of the business/function.
  • Collaborates with application developers, designers, and architects to ensure a shared understanding of the business model and the detailed requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Business partners.
  • Understand the business and related IT platforms.
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams from all domains throughout the life cycle of solution delivery.
  • Lead small to medium complexity departmental and enterprise-wide projects to support departmental initiatives.
  • Comfortable facilitating discovery sessions or training to gain insights into end user and customer needs.
  • Respond proactively to both business and project issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Act on behalf of the business partner as a subject matter expert to ensure product/service performance supports business process needs
  • Stay up to date on the trends, processes, and IT advancements to automate, modernize and optimize systems
  • Drive innovation with customers, peers and vendors to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Creation of documentation of requirements, use cases, and SOPs.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/computer science or related field
  • 5 years of relevant business analyst experience
  • Strong experience with MS Business Central – Sales, Inventory, Distribution & Finance modules
  • Experience with SQL queries
  • Experience with Agile and other system development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Experience in using Microsoft Business Central based Justfood ERP a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI a plus
  • knowledge and experience with full-system ERP implementations or upgrade

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership for achieving results
  • Passionate and inquisitive approach to the technology driven world
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information, and make sound decisions
  • Project management skills
  • Out of the box thinker that enjoys working collaboratively with others on solutions

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:

  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment.
  • Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees.
