Account Manager

Location: Export PA or Las Vegas NV (Onsite)

Schedule: Full-Time

Shift: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week

Salary: $50,000-$70,000

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for business development within a designated territory, identifying and onboarding new dealers, and creating and implementing strategies to drive sales growth. You will also play a key role in expanding business with existing dealers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of automotive products and the ability to effectively communicate and assist customers in finding the right solutions for their needs. This position requires regular communication with customers through phone and email, handling inbound inquiries, and following up on sales quotes. This role involves a high level of independent decision-making and reports directly to the Director of Sales.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective customers by explaining product availability, features, and benefits of doing business with us. This includes researching and creating lists of potential customers, as well as making cold calls.
  • Set up new dealers according to company guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze customer trends, including revenue and margin, to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a call plan for your assigned territory, ensuring regular contact with customers.
  • Recommend products based on customer needs and business benefits.
  • Address customer inquiries about products, pricing, availability, shipping, credit terms, and contract information.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor pricing, providing feedback to the team.
  • Collaborate with internal departments like Technical Sales and Customer Service to resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including reviewing dealer applications, setting up accounts, and placing orders.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, promote products, and provide sales support.
  • Take and enter orders, track orders, cancel orders, and resolve complaints, ensuring accurate records are kept.
  • Follow up on quotes to boost sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in problem-solving and resolving customer issues in coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or GED with 2-4 years of related experience or a combination of work experience and education.
  • An Associate's degree in a related field plus 2 years of relevant work experience in sales or customer service (preferred).
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities by understanding customer business objectives and needs.
  • Strong product knowledge, and the ability to apply independent judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong numerical and mathematical skills to perform measurements and calculations (e.g., adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
  • A customer-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to understand customer time constraints, budgets, and goals.
  • Goal and process-oriented with a strong desire to achieve results.
