Job Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for account support. The Account Manager provides customer service by handling the day-to-day operations of clients' insurance need and works with various team members to deliver proper insurance and risk management services for clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.

● Client Support

o Maintains accurate client information to provide day-to-day client support and address intermediate-level client inquiries.

o Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Recognizes and satisfies carrier goals and objectives to enhance business relationships.

o Conducts quarterly service status calls to assigned book of business clients.

o Assists in completion and processing of applications; Schedules, prepares for, and supports open enrollment meetings.

o Support in client retention by maintaining a positive relationship and image with clients.

● Account Management

o Supports in enrollment, benchmarking, financial and utilization data based on financial review standards.

o Maintains all client information in accordance with both company procedures and HIPAA regulations. Follows company procedures in order to achieve positive audit results.

o Ensures accuracy of account information for both new and renewal policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy. Works with carrier to ensure accuracy of client information and forms. Communicates any outstanding or impactful topics from the carrier back to the client.

o Oversees installation of the group on renewal. Finalizes enrollment with carrier and reports the results to team members.

o Support maintenance of agency management system, communication system, and other tools.

o Collects forms/data/schedules for regulatory compliance.

● Insurance Expertise

o Leverages technical knowledge to ensure carrier quotes are received in a timely fashion; Reviews quotes for gaps and assists with inquiries from the carrier.

o Updates BenefitPoint in a timely manner including updates to on-going activity.

● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· 2-5 years of related experience and/or training preferred

· Life and health License

· Working knowledge of available employee benefits coverages based on business and industry

· Proficient in providing client service through electronic, telephone, and in-person interaction

· Problem solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient in use of Agency Management software, or demonstrated skill at quickly learning new systems

· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
