Education Technology Specialist (Outside Sales Representative)

Compensation: $55K-$60K salary (based on experience) + uncapped tiered commission.

Location:Toronto or GTA within 25 km of Toronto, Ontario
Job Type: Full-Time | Remote with some Travel

If so, we’re seeking an Education Technology Specialist to drive net new business in the EdTech space.

This role is 100% focused on lead generation and new client acquisition. Some knowledge and experience with account management is required.

You’ll prospect, pitch, and sell our cutting-edge learning solutions to K-12, higher education, corporate training providers and corporations. If you’re a skilled cold caller, networker, and an expert in closing deals, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Planning: Execute a targeted sales strategy to generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert them into long-term customers.
  • Prospect & Qualify Leads – Identify and engage new business opportunities through cold calling/emails, networking, and outbound sales strategies to connect with decision makers.
  • Drive New Business – Proactively identify, engage, and sell our EdTech solutions and, effectively articulate our value proposition to present tailored solutions to key decision-makers.
  • Manage Full Sales Cycle – From initial outreach to closing deals, you own the process and are accountable for results.
  • Develop Relationships – Build trust through active listening to develop tailored value propositions that contribute to boosting conversion rates and maintaining a high level of customer engagement.
  • Consistently Hit Sales Targets – Meet and exceed monthly quotas by demonstrating persistence, adaptability, and strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Collaborate Internally – Provide feedback on market trends, customer pain points, and competitive insights to help shape targeted campaigns, messaging, and lead-generation initiatives. Actively contribute to our sales strategy and leverage team expertise to continuously improve sales performance and pipeline efficiency.
  • Attend Industry Events & Engage Prospects – Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and build brand awareness. Proactively engage with potential clients, initiate meaningful conversations, and identify opportunities to showcase our solutions. Conduct on-site visits to prospective customers, providing in-depth demonstrations and consultations to help them understand the value of our solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Seasoned Sales Professional – You have 5+ years in outside B2B sales, preferably in education, EdTech, or SaaS. You are comfortable conducting in-person meetings, delivering compelling presentations, and negotiating contracts to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proven Performer – You have a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Hunter Mentality – You are self-motivated, resilient, and thrive in a competitive, outbound sales environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills – You are articulate, have a knack for clearly conveying a compelling value proposition that engages and persuades decision-makers.
  • Tech-Savvy – You are comfortable quickly learning our EdTech solutions, new technology, Office 365, specifically Excel and other collaboration tools, CRM tools, sales automation, and virtual selling.
  • Willingness to Travel – This role will require some travel to meet prospects and attend events.
