Kamloops Truss Ltd. is currently seeking a Sales Manager to join our team in Kamloops, BC.

We are looking for a Sales Manager who can lead our sales team with strategy, accountability, and industry knowledge—driving growth while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.

Position Overview: As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the sales team to achieve revenue targets and strengthen relationships with builders, contractors, and industry partners. You will oversee sales strategy, customer engagement, and operational efficiency while ensuring the team delivers expert guidance on engineered wood products and truss systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish clear sales goals, performance metrics (KPIs), and accountability measures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the team stays up to date on industry trends, product innovations, and customer needs.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews to maximize team effectiveness.

Strategic Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key industry players, and strengthen partnerships with existing clients.
  • Work closely with marketing and operations to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Represent KTL at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Oversee key client accounts, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnerships.
  • Address complex customer needs, including project specifications, pricing negotiations, and problem resolution.
  • Implement a consultative sales approach, ensuring customers receive technical expertise and tailored solutions.

Sales Operations & Performance Management

  • Develop and refine sales processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
  • Utilize CRM systems and reporting tools to track sales performance, analyze data, and drive informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales leadership within the construction, manufacturing, or building materials industry (experience in trusses and engineered wood preferred).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of B2B sales, relationship management, and strategic selling techniques.
  • Ability to analyze data, set KPIs, and implement process improvements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex building components.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP software and sales tracking tools

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 based on certifications and experience

Schedule: 8-hour shift - Monday - Friday
