About the role
The successful candidate, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, will participate in engineering activities including but not limited to:
- Collaborating on system design activities with systems engineering and other engineering staff, including supporting technical reviews
- Evaluating design evidence and assessing compliance to requirements, regulations and design standards
- Preparing design documentation, engineering change requests and assessing impacts of design changes
- Coordinating inputs to Sub-Contractor Data Requirements List (SDRL) deliverables
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science or related field
- Two (2) years of relevant professional experience. Equivalent experience/combined education will be considered
- Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
- Have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
- Have a high learning ability
- Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of and ability to follow systems engineering processes and best practices.
Additional skills desired for the role
- Experience in Systems Engineering and/or System Architecture within a defense context
- Experience with Military Naval domain, or integration of Combat Systems on Naval Ships
- Experience with design and/or integration of Naval Ship Bridge and Navigation Systems
