The Sales Manager for the Alberta region is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all sales operations and staff across the province. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic sales plans, drive revenue growth, build strong client relationships, and ensure the team delivers exceptional results. Reporting to the Regional Director (or equivalent), this role is critical to achieving the company’s business objectives in Alberta.

Tasks and results for this position include:

  • Develop and execute the Alberta sales strategy in alignment with the company’s overall goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the province and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, account managers, and support staff across the province.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and implement professional development plans.
  • Ensure a high-performance culture by fostering accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and close major contracts with key clients, contractors, and distributors.
  • Monitor sales pipelines and forecasts to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, including contractors, architects, developers, and distributors.
  • Act as the face of the company for high-profile clients and industry events.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Represent the company in alignment with its values and commitment to ethical practices.

Preferred Skills and Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the building materials, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Alberta market, including key players, trends, and challenges.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, sales software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Alberta as required
  • Knowledge of provincial building code is an asset.
  • Demonstrated success in sales in areas within a fast-paced, and competitive market.
  • Must be hands-on and a team player.
  • Excellent leadership skills including superb communication and delivery of results.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $110,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
