New Business Generation:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and leveraging referrals.
- Develop and nurture a comprehensive sales funnel by identifying, qualifying, and advancing high-potential prospects in the employee group benefits sector, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities to drive enterprise growth.
- Identify targeted market sectors and develop tailored sales scripts and strategic plans to effectively engage prospects and execute revenue-driving initiatives within the employee group benefits space.
- Work with targeted warm lists and pre-identified projects to strategically execute calls and schedule qualified meetings, driving engagement with potential clients and advancing them through the sales funnel.
- Identify and develop strong relationships with decision-makers, HR leaders, and plan administrators at prospective companies.
- Schedule qualified meetings with potential clients to discuss their employee benefits needs.
- Stay updated on changes in employee benefits regulations, market trends, and competitor offerings.
- Achieve targets, including meeting call volume, lead generation, and conversion metrics.
- Provide regular updates on sales activities and pipeline status to reporting manager.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise team and other internal stakeholders to drive efficient execution and alignment of next steps.
- Participate in ongoing sales training and development programs to enhance industry knowledge and sales strategies.
Key Qualifications
- Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in sales, particularly in B2B or enterprise-level environments, with a focus on consultative selling.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of employee group benefits, insurance, or related fields, including relevant regulations and market trends.
- Strategic Sales Skills: Ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, including building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions in a clear, compelling manner.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building and maintaining lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze market data, client needs, and competitive offerings to provide tailored benefits solutions.
- Goal-Oriented: A results-driven mindset with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets and metrics consistently.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting strategies to meet changing market conditions.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) tools to track leads, manage the sales pipeline, and report on activities.
