Service Sales Manager (CA)

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Service Sales Expert will work with Siemens Energy Sales Teams in Canada and Customers to develop customer strategies and proposals for Installation and Maintenance services on Gas Insulated Switchgear, Transformers, and other components. A qualified candidate will provide excellent customer service, while leading a cross functional team running safety, quality, schedule, and budget.

Functionally reporting to the Director of Sales, Transmission Solutions, you will be expected to take crucial action for pulling together a winning bid and negotiating services contracts for Transformers and GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear).

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Build customer relationships with a focus on Transformers mid-life extension programs - including bushing changeouts, re-gasketing, assembly, vacuum/oil filling and testing
• Promote Monitoring & Diagnostic systems and spare parts for Transformers and Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS)
• Lead the proposal and post bid development work scope for transformers and GIS installation/maintenance services.
• Collaborate and connect with Siemens Energy account managers, Business Unit Sales, GIS factory PMs and other Siemens Energy Business Units to identify proper sales and bid strategy for new services and scopes of work.
• Lead monthly forecasting and maintain data quality in Salesforce.
• Follow and/or implement Siemens Environmental Health & Safety policies and perform additional duties as assigned by Director of Sales, Transmission Solutions and Head of Grid Technologies, Service

What you Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related discipline
• Must have a minimum of 5-6 years in the utility industry in transformer/AIS/GIS installations. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
• Must have ability to review electrical drawings, scopes of work and specifications and
  prior experience in GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and Transformer installation, operations, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs would be appreciated.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of the Siemens Energy GIS portfolio present and vintage models is an advantage.
• Understanding of business, competitive landscape, legal/regulatory environment, needs/challenges of customers and strong written and verbal communication and willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally required
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Canada without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
