Reporting

The position is budgeted to the region and will report directly to the Sales Manager

Scope

The Employee will perform Account Sales Representative duties for Southern Alberta Fluid System Technologies Inc. (SAFST)

Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities

The main functions, duties, and responsibilities for the Position, without limiting its scope, can be summarized as follows:

1. The Position is responsible for the following functions:

A) Vendor and Customer Managed Inventory

B) Account Management responsibilities and duties

2. Duties include:

A) Vendor and Customer Managed Inventory Specialist

· Develops sales by reviewing standing orders; analyzing sales; recommending changes and new products; taking and placing orders; calling on potential customers.

· Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints, adjusting orders.

· Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

· Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels, exterior/interior lighting, load securement, and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs and maintenances, keeping physical copy record, and provide fleet manager with copy of such records; validating adherence to road ability standards.

· Maintains truck stock by running purchasing query of the truck inventory levels; assessing upcoming and current customer needs; sort parts into designated locations; and ensure all items are secured in drawers / roof rack.

· Delivers items by identifying destinations; establishing most efficient route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule.

· Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs.

· Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations; cleans truck exterior and interior.

· Maintains delivery truck and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log (Log Activities in SAP B1 mobile app) and truck performance forms.

· Cycle count truck inventory weekly for a total of 2 full counts per year

· Ensure batch traceability is maintained on all parts in (Batch code, 3-digit body code, original PO number, heat/lot numbers)

· Maintains own schedule and record of recurring VMI customer site visits and deliveries in SAP B1 Activities and calendar.

· Log important conversations and opportunities in SAP B1 Activities and calendar.

B) Account Management

· Manage customer complaints, prospect, develop and nurture relationships of new and existing clients.

· Support the DAP and sales model by identifying customer pains, providing technical support and offering solutions, services and growing wallet share of products.

· Creation of sales territory plans/schedules and log activities and opportunities in SAP B1.

· Collaborate with sales and services team subject matter experts on discovered and qualified opportunities and support a Team Selling Approach.

Safety duties include:

i) Is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, while on customer sites, company premises or in the service of the company.

Company assets and other company property protection:

ii) Is responsible for the protection, control and preservation of all company assets and property assigned to his/her territory.

Required SAFST Work Policies

iii) Is responsible to abide by all policies and procedures found in the SAFST Employee Handbook.

Required SAFST Processes

iv) All Processes within SAFST Quality System, and QMS (ABSA) at any time, may include but not limited to, during an investigation, reworking of process(es)/document(s), internal auditing, etc.

Required Swagelok Policies

v) All Policies required within SAFST, and required by Swagelok Corp. at any time, may include but not limited to, during an investigation, reworking of process(es)/document(s), internal auditing, etc.

3) Position Requirements

· Minimum Grade 12 Diploma.

· Proficiency with MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Experience with SAP would be beneficial.

· Knowledge of customer service principles.

· Strong oral and written communication

4) Required Certifications

· As required per SAFST training matrix

· As required by customer (3rd party/site specific)
