Metal Treaters Inc. has the longest continuous ownership in the metal treating industry serving Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. Although MTI began as a tool & die heat treater, the company now offers full-service capabilities that include: Vacuum Processing of the Tool Steels, Induction, Carburizing, and Neutral Hardening. Job Summary: Directs sales and marketing efforts of the company. Establishes rapport with current customers while prospecting and selling to qualified prospects. Develops sales strategies and communicates to the management team.
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Engages in all prospecting and selling functions necessary to grow business.
- Engages with Customers concerning quotes.
- Provides value added services to current customers.
- Builds trust with customers and prospects.
- Provides customer service duties with current customers as required.
- Serves as a liaison between customer and all company divisions/departments for communicating information on customer accounts, informing them of customer concerns and/or assists them in resolving problems that occur.
- Works with management team on brochures, website and other sales related literature.
- Assists the company in developing goals and objectives.
- Accurately and promptly completes all paperwork associated with the position.
- Maintains confidentiality of all company policies, procedures and privileged information.
- Advises and/or notifies the Vice President of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the company, product assurance, facilities, and employee safety or customer satisfaction results.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.
- Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others.
- Participates in company sponsored training and meetings as required.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Additional Responsibilities: Travels to customer locations to perform job functions and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Excellent Computer Skills.
- Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook.
- Familiar with or willing to learn metal marketing and basic manufacturing practices.
- Industrial sales and customer service experience.
- Good human relations skills.
- Professional in verbal and written skills.
Working Conditions: Office Environment. May encounter some exposure to processing floor where there is dirt, dust, oil and varying temperatures. Offsite locations will very.
Physical Requirements:
1. Able to drive a car and maintain valid driver’s license.
2. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
3. Climb Stairs
4. Able to sit, stand & walk for extended periods.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.
Status: Full-time with benefits, 40 hours weekly.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
