Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join our Largo, FL team. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue with both existing and prospective customers by making 30+ calls daily, with focus on building rapport and strong relationships with our defined customer base. In addition, the role requires basic understanding of engineering plans and specifications, technical take-offs for RFQs, answering technical questions from customers and maintaining a database of daily activities in Salesforce Lightning CRM. The ideal candidate is a team-player who can also work independently by managing their time for efficiency and high-productivity while working with their Field Sales Engineer to grow a designated territory year over year.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts through inbound lead follow-up and 30+ outbound calls daily.
- Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities.
- Handle telephone inquiries related to RFQs, purchase orders, technical questions, site survey requests and meeting requests.
- Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
- Analyze and determine opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling potential.
- Maintain and expand the database of prospects within the assigned territory.
- Perform effective online demos to prospects.
- Follow up on FSE visits, customer samples and drop-ship orders.
- Respond to customer questions with precision to establish credibility; handle complex situations with tact and a high degree of professionalism.
- Assist Sales Team, as required, to meet company goals and objectives.
- Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Work well within a team environment.
Education & Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED required; some college is highly desirable.
- Electrical or low-voltage industry experience required.
- Knowledge of CRM Management (Salesforce.com) preferred.
- Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing 30+ calls per day.
- Ability to effectively communicate and quickly build rapport with customers.
- Ability to learn quickly to understand the product/service offered and to communicate features and benefits during sales calls.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including active listening and presentation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate persistence, overcome objections and maintain positive energy and attitude.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Highly self-motivated and goal-orientated.
