SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
As an Emergency Vehicle Sales Rep you are the first responder to all sales inquiries, bids & tenders in your area of responsibility. You are the leading product expert of our fire apparatus brand, E-one, and all of the models and options we offer. From a $250,000 command unit to a $2,500,000 platform, you will have the ability to take care of our customers with our best-in-class offerings. Visiting customers in the field, going to industry events and trade shows and the vehicle spec’ing process are all part of your duties.
The person best suited for this position enjoys the details and has the ability to understand and communicate complex mechanical systems. You should be comfortable with a long sales process, and understand how to work with, at times, a 2-3 year timeline. The ability to stay organized and the desire to respond quickly to requests will make our next candidate successful in this role. The selected employee must be willing to travel on a regular basis.
RESPONSABILITIES AND DUTIES
- Develop and maintain existing and new customer relationships
- Spec & price new fire apparatus
- Bid & tender submissions
- Internal & external sales support
- Technical sales support
- Project management
- Department relationship building & technical assistance
- Quoting & estimating for fire hall budget planning
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Sales and project management experience
- Heavy-duty vehicle sales experience is an asset (Example: Class 6-8 Trucks)
- Commercial account management experience
- Customer service and relationship building skills
- Knowledgeable of customer relationship manager (CRM) tools and Microsoft office
- Valid driver’s license
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Start date: 1st quarter of 2024
- Schedule type: full-time on a 4.5 days per week schedule
