Job Description
What we are looking for:
SCS is looking for an IT Support professional who will provide Helpdesk support to in-house users as well as the administration of Server systems, PCs, Tablets, Mobile devices, applications, and network equipment. This position offers challenges and opportunities to learn and implement new technologies. You must be able to work on multiple Helpdesk tickets simultaneously and be knowledgeable in various computer-related topics. The IT Support is a full-time position that will report to the headquarters in Long Beach, CA.
How you can make an impact:
- Provide Helpdesk support for Corporate Business Applications
- Management of your own Helpdesk tickets including follow-ups and resolution as needed
- Handling of incoming technical support requests from in-house users. Escalate support tasks as needed to other IT staff
- Work with IT staff as needed on a variety of short-term and long-term projects
- Purchase, install, and maintain computer hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices. Serve as the primary contact for resolution of hardware and software issues
- Proactive monitoring, management, updating, and replacement of desktop hardware and software
- Test new hardware and software to assess functionality, applicability as a business solution, and conformance with corporate technical and operational standards
- Provide basic technical training to end users
- Work with local IT persons to provide Business Continuity in cases of emergencies
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology/computer science degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT Support role required
- A+, MCP, MCSE, CCNA or comparable certification preferred
- Proficient in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting process for hardware and software on Tablets, Mobile devices, Desktops, Laptops
- Advanced knowledge of Windows OS environments, including Windows 10 and 11
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook and Teams required
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, subnets, O365, Teams
- Understanding of problem and change management systems and processes
- Understanding of networking technologies such as VoIP/Routing/Switching
- Understanding of Server OS environments such as Microsoft Server
- A valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing is required since this position would require minimal travel.
