ABC News is seeking an Account Executive, VideoSource. This role is part of a critical team that licenses ABC News archival footage to third parties. VideoSource is a profit center and premium content provider tracking over one thousand multi-media projects a year. The Account Executive is the main point of contact between VideoSource and our clients. In many cases, the Account Executive is meant to act as a liaison between the client’s needs and the internal processes of the department. It is therefore critical that the account executive be a team player and have excellent delegation skills. Thorough knowledge of our essential programs includes MS Office, GALAXY, NCS, PayPal, etc.
Responsibilities:
The Account Executive will be responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with production companies, studios, streaming services and internal departments. The position is also responsible for the development of new accounts and account management which includes overseeing all aspects of each project. This includes receiving and processing footage orders, assembling requested content, research and screening for client orders, as well as client follow-up. The account executive has a sales target, and his/her performance is measured against it.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience at Television, Film, Licensing, or Digital Media companies
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of footage licensing including copyright, trademark, governing bodies, public domain & fair use.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and written skills
- Well-versed in news and current events
- Works well under pressure
- Works well in a team-setting
- Adapts well to different environments
- Must be able to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under deadlines
- Problem solver
Preferred Qualifications:
- The Account Executive should be familiar with major non-fiction programming across various multimedia platforms.
- Familiar with all ABC News/Disney owned programming, and able to identify current and past on-screen talent.
- Able to professionally deal with challenging personalities, situations, and circumstances.
- To always be an ambassador for the business.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college.

The hiring range for this position in New York is $90,000 to $109,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
