Sobering Center Supervisor

***This position is located at a 24 hour facility and will require overnight and swing shifts***

CityServe’s purpose is to reconnect people to a community of support by providing human services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education and human trafficking. This position will supervise Sobering Center Staff in screening appropriate cases, conducting assessments, developing strengths-based individualized service plans and coordinating appropriate behavioral health services for releases. They will also communicate and work with Leadership for the growth and functioning of the CSN (CityServe Network) Sobering Center.

Duties Include:

  • Trains and supervises sobering center staff.
  • Provide directions, management, and supervision of day-to-day operations of the program and staff for Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Intellectual/Developmental programs.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with service providers.
  • Handles employee relations and staff development for Mental Health, Substance Abuse, or

Intellectual/Developmental programs.

  • Interacts with various city departments in the delivery of services and maintains liaison with the police department, fire department and hospitals to be a resource when they encounter individuals needing services.
  • Conducts monthly supervision with the team to ensure professional development, support, and direction.
  • Monitor the Case Assignment Tracking to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with the MCP and CS provider contract, and federal and state statutes and regulations.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures of CityServe are always followed by clients, staff and volunteers.
  • When possible, participate in task forces, in-services, training, and other community educational networking opportunities to educate others about MY Insurance Services CS programs and to promote partnerships and sponsorships whenever possible.
  • Participate in training, regional meetings, staff retreats, or other events required by MY Insurance Services.
  • Ensure that CS services provided adhere to the requirements as set forth by the MCP provider guide and by the California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) requirements.
  • Inform the Administration of any illegal or harmful (or potentially so) situations regarding the operation of programs and clients.
  • Follow State and Federal laws regarding confidential information and child abuse reporting.
  • Maintains a positive, life-giving environment for the residents.
  • Attends training and regular meetings with CityServe.
  • Attends weekly team meetings.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by the Executive Director(s), Program Director(s), or Supervisor.
  • Conduct and participate in street outreach.

  • To understand and uphold all CSN and CSN CalAIM policies as outlined in the CSN Policies and Procedures

  • To provide support to CSN CalAIM Sobering Center Director
  • Interest in working with the homeless and those at risk of homelessness and their families
  • A nondiscriminatory attitude regarding people
  • A mature and responsible person
  • To use respectful language, practice confidentiality, and provide services to the best of your ability and without prejudice
  • To respond to emails and voicemails quickly and professionally
  • To communicate openly with the Sobering Center Director and remain flexible

Skills/Qualifications:

Attention to detail, ability to perform under a high level of stress, problem solver, strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, mature and full of integrity, detail-oriented, ability to operate as a team player, (5) years of behavioral health or social service experience in counseling, social work, or related field, and supervisor experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
