Job Description
About Disco
Disco is building a collaborative ad network that helps direct-to-consumer brands find new customers faster and cheaper. With rising costs in traditional advertising due to changes from Google and Apple (e.g., cookie deprecation, iOS updates), brands face an unsustainable challenge. Our main offering, DiscoFeed, recommends products to shoppers after checkout based on their past purchases. Leading brands like Caden Lane, Caraway, Dagne Dover, Sol de Janeiro, and Liquid I.V. use DiscoFeed to cross-sell to each other’s customer bases, dramatically lowering their acquisition costs.
We've raised $26 million in funding from established investors (Felicis Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Shopify, Sugar Capital, RiverPark Ventures, and Indicator Ventures). Since 2021, we have expanded our network to 1000+ brands, serving product recommendations to 106M+ shoppers & supporting $42B in e-commerce transactions.
About the role
As a Senior Product Analyst, you will establish the Shopper & Brand Facing Product Analytics function at Disco for the next chapter of product and company growth. The ability to intimately understand how people are using Disco’s products in a quantitative manner is essential for effective decision making. The insights and in-depth behaviors you identify within our Products will directly be applied to the Product and company level strategy. You’ll routinely leverage the insights you identify to drive decisions across the company and to Disco’s Exec Team/Founder. While hands-on application of the Product Analytics craft is required, an ideal candidate is excited to grow a team as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- You’re a builder in every sense of the word: With a strong bias for action you enter an environment of high ambiguity, with few dependencies in place, and foster a thriving Analytics function that fundamentally alters the trajectory of Disco.
- Develop User-Centric Insights: Conduct in-depth user behavior analysis that translates into actionable insights, offering a qualitative complement to our quantitative optimization work. You’ll help reveal the “why” behind user actions, guiding our product teams to make data-informed decisions with a user-centered approach.
- Lead UX Experimentation and Hypothesis Testing: Design and implement experimentation frameworks to validate hypotheses and improve the user experience. You’ll partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine product features and drive impactful changes.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate with teams across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, acting as a bridge between data insights and strategic product development. Your role will emphasize translating data into compelling narratives that shape Disco’s product direction.
Experience
- Data Analysis Expertise: Extensive (6+ years) hands-on experience with data manipulation (e.g., SQL, Python) in the product domain.
- Product and User Insight: Strong ability to analyze user behaviors and translate findings into actionable product recommendations, supporting both user engagement and product optimization goals.
- Experimentation and Strategic Thinking: Background in leading experimentation and hypothesis testing, bringing a balanced approach to both exploratory and data-driven analysis.
- Collaborative and Cross-Functional Approach: Proven experience partnering effectively across functions to align on goals and deliver insights that drive product strategy.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
Benefits & Perks:
- Flexible PTO Policy
- 12 Holidays + Christmas-New Years Holiday Closure (10 Days)
- 3 DisConnect Days
- Medical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance
- 401(k)
- $250 Monthly Flexible Lifestyle Spending Stipend (i.e., Cell Phone & Internet, Wellness & Fitness, etc.)
- $100 Monthly Stipend to Spend at Disco Brands
- $132 Monthly Commuter Benefit
- $500 for Home Office Setup
- Lunch Provided in SF & NYC Offices Monday - Thursday
Don’t meet all the above requirements? Don’t worry! We encourage you to apply anyway. At Disco, we believe that having a team of diverse backgrounds and voices working together will enable us to create innovative products that transform the way brands, consumers, and retailers collaborate and scale. Disco is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and is committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy (including childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information (including characteristics and testing), military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
