Job Description
The Director of Operational Excellence creates a collaborative mindset to organize and lead project teams to achieve measurable business improvements. This position helps develop tools, resources, and leverages expertise to improve Service Delivery throughout the organization.
Target Salary Range: $80,000 to $115,000 (Depending on Experience and BPO Industry Expertise)
Responsibilities
- Builds leadership capability in process improvement and operational excellence to improve quality, cost, dependability, flexibility, innovation, and responsiveness to business and customer needs
- Creates cross-functional alignment of processes and standards to achieve complex deliverables
- Manages change to increase customer adoption of new tools, software, and resources
- Drives institutionalizing best practices in process improvements and project deployments in a consistent and scalable way
- Supports building of capabilities within project management and business analysis to handle increasingly complex opportunities
- Partners effectively with project stakeholders to solve business needs
- Helps to identify the right resources to develop a measurement strategy along the team maturity journey
- Understands and supports the approach of operational excellence which is better service delivery through efficiency, standardization, and flexibility
- Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 8+ years in various roles working directly with clients or a combination of education and experience
- Extensive experience in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as company policies; ability to write routine-to-complex reports and correspondence
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook; Ability to understand difference software systems and how they work
- Ability to develop in others the interpersonal skills and the application of good judgement
- Understands how to prioritize, adjust risk, and pivot strategies within a project
- Effective in coaching others in the areas of critical thinking and decision-making
- Has an entrepreneurial mindset
- Demonstrates the ability to lead a data-driven approach to analysis and performance measurement
- Eye towards simplicity and identifying best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Business Process Engineer, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Client Implementation, or Client Management
- Master's degree in a related discipline
- Certification in Project Management (PMP), Process Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma), or Change Management (Prosci)
