As a Data Specialist, you will organize and analyze data for reports, track KPIs, and create customer sustainability reports. You'll manage one-off data requests, calculate profit margins, maintain financial tools, and generate PowerBI reports. Additionally, you’ll conduct market research, ensure data accuracy, compile trend analysis, and support business development with data-driven insights to align with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate comprehensive sustainability reports for customers and handle one-off data requests from the business development and customer success teams.
- Pull, organize, and analyse data reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring data accuracy and relevance for presentations and KPI tracking.
- Calculate profit margins on a monthly and quarterly basis and update and maintain financial tools used by business development teams for opportunity assessment.
- Create and maintain detailed reports in PowerBI, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business metrics.
- Conduct market research to identify potential business development opportunities and keep data on these opportunities up to date.
- Compile and analyse data for trend analysis across various business verticals, providing insights and recommendations based on the trend data.
- Collaborate with business development and customer success teams to fulfill data and reporting needs, and support strategic decision-making with accurate and timely data.
Qualifications:
- University degree/diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Some experience (internships or co-op positions) in data analysis, research, or reporting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Previous experience with PowerBI would be an asset. .
- Experience in generating and maintaining reports, with a solid understanding of data aggregation, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
