Job Description

As the Director of Sales Development you will be responsible for continuing to scale and lead our sales development organization. You will be an integral part of the sales leadership team by providing continuous mentorship for our SDRs, refining our sales process, pipeline generation process, defining and tracking our KPIs and spearheading SDR recruiting. You will work closely with other leaders in sales, marketing, and sales enablement to ensure our SDR teams exceed goals.

People:
  • Developing a sales development program that becomes the competitive differentiator in our growth strategy
  • Recruit, hire, coach, and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives and Sales Development Managers
  • Motivate individuals and team to exceed objectives through coaching and mentorship
  • Empower your team to take ownership of their territory
  • Ensure that team metrics are aligned with the broader organizational objectives
  • Provide insightful feedback from prospect conversations to product, sales and marketing leadership Qualifications
Client:
  • Proactively identify and launch initiatives to drive new business development growth and operational excellence
  • Monitor and refine processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the SDR team
  • Achieve quarterly and annual pipeline and revenue targets
  • Report on pipeline-building metrics and forecast to senior sales management
Value:
  • Collaborate with sales enablement for targeted training and development
  • Work with marketing and sales operations to ensure thorough follow up of inbound leads
Education and Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing high performing sales development teams
  • Strong understanding of sales development best practices (cadence management, cold-calling, objection handling, etc.) and pipeline building process
  • Familiarity with multi-product offerings
  • Humility and empathy for the challenges our prospects face on a daily basis
  • Travel to conferences and industry events as necessary
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or related field or equivalent experience
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position requires limited supervisory responsibilities of the Business Development Department, including training employees, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness.
Work Environment:
  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Long periods of time sitting while working at a computer.
  • Regular contact with co-workers via online tools or in person.
  • Remote work allowed.
Compensation:
  • For certain California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $176,000 - $251,900
  • For other California based locations, the base salary hiring range for this position is $161,000 - $230,450
  • For Colorado based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $154,000 - $220,550
  • For New York based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $176,000 - $251,900
  • For Washington based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $161,000 - $230,450
  • The Company makes offers based on many factors, including qualifications and experience.
