Live the core values of Stratum Live Event Production and be an ambassador by expanding brand awareness, reinforcing mindshare, and deepening relationships.
Follow and work our defined business development roadmap that includes direct outreach via emails, calls, and social media as well as involvement in industry associations on a local and national basis.
Bring qualified leads into the business development funnel, build relationships with leads and partners, educate leads about Stratum, identify and pass opportunities to the Solutions Team, support revenue creation through new sales support and client retention and growth initiatives.
Achieve business development targets and report on KPIs on a regular basis - providing insight and recommendation to improve overall performance of campaigns and initiatives.
The right candidate will:

- Identify and develop qualified leads
- Genuinely learn about leads and their organization plus their event needs and expected outcomes
- Forge deep relationships that align with our core values and culture
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop curated materials and processes
- Attend industry and networking events and represent Stratums’ brand
- Support the Solutions Team by deepening existing relationships and reengaging inactive client partners

Expected Tasks:
- Work within an organized structure which includes:
- Executing our Business Development Roadmap designed with tangible goals, clear steps toward those goals, and performance metrics
- Completing daily business development activities specifically focused on bringing qualified prospects and opportunities into our sales funnel
- Work directly with the Leadership Team to qualify opportunities to determine if they are real or perceived
- Continuous evaluation plus methodical and creative optimization of business development and sales strategies based on metrics and results
- Ability to prospect leads using:
- Networking applications such as LinkedIn and Sales Navigator or other applicable resources
- Internet utilities including generic internet and social media searches
- Emails, phone calls, in-person visits, and other direct activities
- Direct networking (industry events, trade shows, boards, and more)
- Industry-specific meetings and peer groups
- Mining existing client database
- Daily, diligent use of productivity and measurement tools including:
- LinkedIn and Sales Navigator
- Microsoft Office
- Google Suite
- Develop a deep understanding of Stratum’s products and services. Telling our story, demonstrating value, and sharing ideas with prospects and potential partners
- Hosting prospects and clients so that they can witness the Stratum Live Event brand
- Attendance and active participation in sales meetings and forecasting
Other Requirements:
- Must be based in the Omaha-metro area
- Minimum of three years experience implementing and executing successful business development and sales strategies that resulted in outcome-based deals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Travel as necessary
- Willingness to serve as an Stratum brand ambassador who always looks and acts the part, treats clients with courtesy and respect, and represents the organization in a professional manner
- Existing network with deep connections in verticals that might be a good fit (preferred but not required)
Schedule:
- Office hours are 9am-5pm M-F with allowances for appointments
- Occasional evening, weekend, and out-of-state travel will be required
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation:
- $60K-$70K including On-Target Earnings (OTE)
