The Americas Upstream and Pipeline segments are poised to experience significant transformation the next 5-10 years as it relates to further adoption of zero-emission technologies, automation and digitalization. This presents a unique opportunity for Rotork’s Americas business to grow it’s electric and electro-hydraulic portfolio in segments where it has traditionally been underrepresented.
To drive this growth opportunity, we are looking for a Business Development Manager that will focus on exponentially growing Rotork’s business in the Americas’ Upstream and Pipeline segments. This is a strategically critical role since the Americas is a key growth market for Rotork’s O&G business.
This person needs to have a good technical understanding of Rotork’s product portfolio and how it fits the specific market requirements of the Americas’ Upstream and Pipeline segments, as well as having a strong commercial acumen to identify, develop and implement a successful “go to market” strategy.
- Developing and implementing effective Upstream & Midstream growth strategies to midstream accounts
- Deliver strategic direction and cascade strategic initiatives for the commercialization of Rotork’s electric and electro-hydraulic actuation opportunities in the Upstream & Pipeline segments in the Americas region.
- Communicate with a broad range of knowledge with clients’ engineers, operations, and management teams at all levels.
- Working with Engineering teams to build product roadmap and new product delivery based on midstream customer feedback
- New product introduction, campaign and event management where required
- Contributing to price planning as appropriate to Upstream & Midstream segments
- Identification, initiation, and development of key Upstream & Pipeline O&G accounts to increase sales, market penetration and positioning of Rotork solutions.
- Influence design specifications through leveraging Rotork electric and electro-hydraulic actuation portfolio’s value proposition.
- Actively engaging with local and regional sales teams, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate competitive market intel.
- Analyze market dynamics, articulate a growth “go to market” plan, and develop the plan ensuring key internal stakeholder engagement and program management competence.
- Works with Senior Sales Manager across the Americas O&G team, to coordinate sales call efforts with valve OEMs, skid manufacturers and channel partners, and end-users. Work effectively through a matrix structure to build and maintain strong and productive internal relationships.
Qualifications
- An effective communicator at all levels, with capability to influence the delivery of positive outcomes.
- Ability to translate market requirements into products, solutions, and technical arguments for customers.
- Experience in business development and client facing activities with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- An understanding of the commercial aspects of Upstream & Pipeline O&G facilities development.
- Experience in business development and client facing activities.
- Sales experience in a relevant industry such as Oil & Gas.
