Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Project Estimator to join our team. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately estimating project costs and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. This is a full-time position within our construction management team. Duties: - Conduct detailed analysis of project plans, specifications, and requirements - Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and objectives - Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing - Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers - Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other industry-specific software for construction estimating - Review and analyze contract documents to identify potential risks or discrepancies - Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to project stakeholders - Assist in the development of project budgets and cost control strategies - Support the project management team in various tasks related to cost estimation and cost control Requirements: - Proven experience in construction estimating or related field - Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices - Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools - Excellent negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers - Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail - Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications - Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, etc. - Opportunities for professional development and career advancement If you are a motivated individual with a strong background in construction estimating and a passion for delivering high-quality projects within budget, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
