If so, read on . . . because this may be the position you’ve been seeking. My client, CPM Solutions, in South Windsor, Connecticut, is looking to hire a Client Account Representative, who will work onsite and who will manage client accounts, order processing, tracking, and support the Sales Team.

This is not your typical customer service or call center position, instead it requires demonstrated experience in / and the necessary temperament for building and sustaining long-term client relationships and effectively managing and helping to grow accounts.

The ideal candidate will be working in or have worked for a small-to-mid-sized company.

Reporting to the Client Service Manager, you will work with both internal teams, as well as external clients/vendors to complete responsibilities. A dynamic leadership team and small business environment will give this position the opportunity to make an impact on an organization with ample room for growth.

A successful candidate will serve as the point of contact in interacting with clients – demonstrating a keen ability to observe, understand and offer solutions for satisfying external and/or internal customers. At the same time, resolve client issues in a timely manner. In this role, you will engage with clients to ensure alignment/satisfaction and operate as the client’s and company’s advocate in keeping both parties’ best interests in mind. As a trusted advisor to clients, you will be in a position to not only retain business but also identify and grow the business through upselling and cross-selling opportunities working closely with Sales.

The ability to multi-task, track and report on key account metrics to ensure that KPI’s are being met is imperative.

This is an onsite salaried position. The work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

· Act as the primary point of contact to strategic accounts and provide general support for other accounts

· Record, organize, and process orders and/or inquiries received by telephone, email, and/or through personal client contact

· Provide pricing, inventory information, and project updates

· Track warehouse inventories and update clients on order status

· Run customized reports and share data with clients

· Track order activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems

· Suggest alternative products or services to meet client needs when appropriate

· Support the development of corrective action plans to enable the Operations Team to research and troubleshoot quality issues

· Serve as a connection between clients and Sales staff to ensure responsiveness and client satisfaction

· Maintain updated knowledge of company products and services

· Develop an awareness of consumer behavior and buying patterns

· Partner with the Operations Team to resolve routine client issues

· Partner with Sourcing & Quoting Team to build client specifications and review with Operations Team to ensure efficient production

· Quickly and effectively resolve client or production issues maintaining clear communication with clients on status and resolution

· Offer solutions where you see changes in client behavior or opportunities to drive process improvements

Education / Technical Requirements

· Bachelor’s or associate degree

· 5 years of work experience in a small to mid-sized company

· Current/prior packaging and/or fulfillment experience is preferred; will, however, consider individuals with other industry experience who have demonstrated strong client relationship / account management experience

· Experience working with order entry system and/or ERP or inventory management system

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel – and in Salesforce (will train)
