Position Summary:
Terrapin Technologies is seeking an Account Executive (AE) to drive revenue growth by targeting bank-based broker-dealers, independent broker-dealers, and hybrid RIAs in the wealth management industry, turning these prospects into lasting partnerships. You’ll build a customer base through proactive prospecting and inbound/outbound efforts, collaborating through each stage of the sales cycle to meet the specific needs of wealth management customers. Post-sale, you'll cultivate relationships with key contacts to foster customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth within each account. As this is a new position, we’re looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and eager to shape the role's future at Terrapin.
Compensation:
On Target Earnings: $130,000 - $160,000, including a base salary of $65,000 - $80,000
As an Account Executive, you will:
- Generate and Manage Sales Pipeline: Proactively generate new leads through outreach and inbound inquiries, build a robust customer pipeline, and manage each prospect through the sales funnel to ensure smooth transitions from initial contact to deal closure.
- Develop Consultative Relationships: Build trust by understanding prospect needs and delivering tailored solutions, serving as the main point of contact through the sales process. Post-sale, maintain strong relationships to support renewals and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Partner with internal teams to drive new business, enhance customer onboarding, support daily account needs, and provide insights to improve Terrapin's offerings.
- Strategic Prospect Engagement: Use data and tools like HubSpot to efficiently identify and reach prospects, aligning outreach with marketing efforts to maximize engagement.
- Travel: Limited travel (<10%) to industry events and customer sites to build relationships and represent Terrapin in person.

- Consultative & Solution-Based Selling: Skilled in listening to customer needs, identifying challenges, and recommending tailored Terrapin solutions. Uses a consultative approach to build trust and customize offerings that address customer requirements and market opportunities.
- Prospecting & Relationship Building: Proactive in outreach, skilled in building rapport, and committed to nurturing genuine, long-term customer relationships that drive sales.
- Technical Communication: Able to discuss complex, technical topics in a clear and accessible manner, adapting language to meet the needs of various stakeholders and ensuring understanding across customer teams.
- Adaptability & Collaboration: Flexible to adjust to customer needs, collaborate closely with leadership and internal teams, and contribute to go-to-market strategies and continuous improvement efforts.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using CRM tools (preferably HubSpot) to manage the pipeline effectively, skilled at creating and enhancing compelling sales presentations with presentation software, and adept at performing data analysis through spreadsheets. Capable of leveraging data and insights to build persuasive business cases that streamline the sales process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or a customer-facing role, with a strong track record in consultative sales or relationship management.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders in B2B environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
- Passion for technology and data solutions, with previous experience in SaaS sales or the wealth management sector being a plus.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas or KPIs, ideally in a role requiring a mix of prospecting and account management.
