To help continue our success, we are looking for a full-time Outside Sales Representative for our Building Materials location in Moline, IL. This role primarily focuses on driving sales and expanding our market share for brick, stone, and masonry-related projects.

We’re looking for a highly motivated sales professional who excels at building relationships with a variety of clients, including architects, engineers, general contractors, homebuilders, and homeowners.

Major Outside Sales Representative duties include (but not limited to);

  • Continue to provide exceptional service to our valued local customers and partners. Cultivate and deepen these relationships by understanding their evolving needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance their experience with us.
  • Take an active role in proposing sales strategies by providing feedback to leadership on market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence, contributing to the company’s long-term business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of all products we offer as well as best install processes to serve as a trusted resource, guiding customers from product selection through installation.
  • Generate and manage sales proposals, orders, and follow-up processes to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Build and foster deep, trust-based relationships with new clients across diverse segments, positioning yourself as a valuable partner, not just a sales professional.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members, sharing insights and best practices to foster a culture of mutual growth, competence and development.
  • Take a proactive approach to customer service by anticipating challenges and providing solutions before problems arise, reinforcing customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Serve as a market ambassador, representing RiverStone Group at key industry events (trade shows, networking events), establishing yourself as a trusted advisor in brick, stone, and masonry-related projects.
  • Other job duties as assigned

Outside Sales Representative Qualifications;

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving market expansion, ideally within a consultative sales environment where relationship-building is key.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to build our business, not just sell products—someone who can identify opportunities, create solutions, and act as a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex sales situations, read customer needs, and adapt communication styles effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, leveraging internal resources to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Experience with complex projects which require coordination with multiple stakeholders (architects, engineers, builders), demonstrating your ability to manage complex, long-term sales processes.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and company objectives, while maintaining focus on core sales goals.
  • Innovative problem-solver with a track record of developing creative solutions to meet client needs and drive sales.
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
