What you'll be responsible for:

Circle is looking for a Finance Operations Manager with a focus in Travel and Expense. This Manager will spend their time leading Finance transformation initiatives and redesigning & operating Circle's global travel and expense program. You will project manage and work directly with cross-functional teams to enable the design and rollout of finance automation and streamlining of core finance processes, international expansion and product roadmap enablement. The ideal applicant will be knowledgeable in facilitating global employee travel and expense programs and be able demonstrate extensive knowledge in GAAP and experience with third party travel and expense software.

What you'll work on:

  • Managing core finance process enablement projects across Finance, including but not limited to T&E programs.
  • Researching and investigating technical and complex employee inquiries using discretion and judgment, selecting and explaining the best solution.
  • Leading the design and implementation of a T&E management tool, including the integration to the Company's ERP.
  • Providing leadership and support for the operation and enhancement of the global T&E program.
  • Developing process maps and standard operating procedures (SOP) for process documentation accuracy and cross-training.
  • Accurately and efficiently performing routine processes and complete proactive measures to drive T&E process improvements/cost reduction initiatives.
  • Maintaining positive and trusted relationships with customers, stakeholders and external clients.
  • Safeguarding employee information and maintaining confidentiality in resolving employee travel and expense matters.

What you'll bring to Circle:

  • B.S. degree in Accounting or related field, or the equivalent business-experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in Finance roles with minimum 5+ years in T&E, AP or Procurement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You are comfortable interfacing with all levels and across all departments within the organization.
  • Outstanding change management skills and the ability to lead teams through change.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; high degree of accuracy.
  • Capable of quickly comprehending new information and technologies.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical/problem solving – ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Must be team oriented, willing to operate within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
  • Experience with Finance and Travel systems (Sage Intacct, Navan, Uber for business, Ramp, Oracle) preferred.
  • Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.

Additional Information:

  • This position is eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.

Circle is on a mission to create an inclusive financial future, with transparency at our core. We consider a wide variety of elements when crafting our compensation ranges and total compensation packages.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range: $130,000 - $170,000

Annual Bonus Target: 15%

Also Included: Equity & Benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)). Circle has a discretionary vacation policy. We also provide 10 days of paid sick leave per year and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
