Our client is one of the largest independently owned insurance brokerages in Ontario. They also offer expertise in commercial and personal insurance, group benefits and financial planning services.
Currently they are seeking a Commercial Account Executive/ Manager to join their team!
DESCRIPTION
As Commercial Account Executive, you will deliver continued excellence in servicing a diverse and growing book of business. You will be marketing new and existing accounts, assessing risk exposures, recommending coverage needs and managing relationships with clients & insurers.
- Collaborating with a dynamic team of Account Executives and Account Associates
- Managing a book of business with medium to large size commercial accounts
- Negotiating coverages, rates and premiums with underwriters and clients
- Creating and updating new business and renewal submissions
- Conducting annual renewal reviews and meetings, including preparing a claims history assessment
- Reviewing inspection reports and following up with outstanding recommendations
- Conducting risk assessment of clients' operations and insurance needs to determine appropriate coverages to offer
- Preparing risk management strategies to improve clients' risk exposures and focus on improving existing coverages
- Managing accounts receivable on the accounts being handled
- Working closely with claims department and clients during claim negotiations and settlements
REQUIREMENTS
- RIBO License
- 3+ years work experience in Commercial Lines
- Proficiency in MS Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
- In process of pursuing CAIB and/or CIP and/or CRM designations
Nice-to-Haves
- Completed CAIB and/or CIP and/or CRM designations
- Familiarity with The Agency Manager (TAM)
- Knowledge of MS PowerPoint
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $110,000 - $120,000 annual salary based on experience
