Job Description
The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our commercial electrical business by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Analyze market data to develop targeted strategies for business growth.
- Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and industry events.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs. Present, prepare, and propose tailored electrical solutions showcasing our services and value proposition.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients to secure profitable business agreements.
- Work closely with the operations and technical teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Identify and attend industry related events and business networking opportunities.
- Establish and maintain social media presence on LinkedIn; follow blogging community and oversee communications on social networking sites.
- Travel (including overnight) to and participate in industry conferences and trade shows.
Knowledge and Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
· 3+ years of proven business development experience within the commercial electrical industry.
· Strong understanding of electrical services and solutions.
· Market knowledge and territory management.
· Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
· Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Hubspot (or similar software)
Work Environment:
This is a flexible position that requires flexible hours. This position will require office time, travel, business entertainment (Meals and Events) and client/partner visits. Hours will include days, nights, and weekends as needed depending on the event. Typically work week is 40-60 hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
