Summary:
The Walling Company is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to handle its Eastern Iowa territory (Eastern Iowa, Western Illinois, Southern Wisconsin). This position will be responsible for supporting the sales and growth of industrial equipment. They will create and implement sales and marketing of The Walling Company’s products in their territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Increase sales volume with both new and existing Walling Company products and services within the territory focusing on achieving budget goals.
- Communicates with existing customers and manages accounts to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintains existing business by developing and presenting value propositions to existing customers.
- Partners with colleagues in functional areas including Customer Service, Accounting and Finance to provide the best customer service possible.
- Interacts with leadership in achieving sales goals.
- Grow your awareness of the applications and all products The Walling Company distributes in growing the business.
- Creates detailed price quotes and ensures appropriate follow-up.
- Creates and delivers training and other solutions to external customers
- Forecasting: Actively participate in the development of the sales forecast and developing the growth of The Walling Company products and services in territory.
- Completes and updates sales-related paperwork and reporting systems.
- Maintains relationships with plants that service customers in the assigned territory, product area, or accounts.
- Work different trade shows to support vendor and Walling Company sales. Be willing to travel and stay overnight as needed within the territory and various trade show locations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of Industrial sales experience, preferably in the manufacturing business, is required.
- Have a solid understanding of local area networking and territory management to concepts and standards needed to sell and manage equipment sales.
- Having a basic understanding of mechanical equipment
- Willingness and desire to win and support The Walling Company team, through sales & service of its products.
- Strong Customer focus
- Self-motivated, high initiative, self-directed.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite.
- Ability to travel by vehicle daily and overnight 15%-30% in the U.S. assigned territory as needed to meet growth and customer needs.
