Position Overview: The Motz Group’s Inside Sales Representative role is primarily a hunting sales position. They are responsible for prospecting for new business, closing the sale, and onboarding new customers within the synthetic turf and wholesale marketplaces and adjacent industries. Developing genuine relationships via phone/email/Zoom interactions allows the ISR to become a trusted advisor to accounts and positively influence their purchasing decisions. The ISR works to achieve mutually agreed upon strategic goals through recruiting new business. As a leader in our industry, the ISR has the opportunity to expand the thought leadership of Motz and understand and influence industry trends, customer needs, and market forces.
Key Activities:
  • Generate Sales Opportunities: Proactively source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Product Demonstration: Clearly explain and demonstrate the features and benefits of Motz infill products to potential clients.
  • Account Research: Conduct thorough research on accounts, identify key players, and generate interest in Motz infills.
  • Customer Engagement: Address potential customers' questions, provide additional information, and follow up promptly via email.
  • Prospect New Distributors: Actively prospect and engage with new distributor opportunities, ensuring seamless handoff of larger warm leads to the appropriate RSM.
  • Strategic Prospecting: Develop and implement prospecting strategies with a focus on regional and state-specific opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work closely with RSM and NSM to ensure effective communication and alignment on strategies.
  • Lead Management: Follow-up on both cold and warm leads to advance the sales process.
  • Client Interaction: Take a lead role in client interactions related to product sales, ensuring a professional and knowledgeable approach.
  • CRM Utilization: Actively use CRM to track leads, interactions, and sales opportunities, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Continuous Learning: Continually expand technical knowledge of synthetic turf systems and industry products, positioning yourself as an expert.
  • Strategic Participation: Participate in regularly scheduled strategic huddles to position Motz ahead of the competition with innovative product offerings and support.
  • Logistics Coordination: Effectively communicate timely and accurate information to logistics teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Market Strategy Support: Assist the National Sales Manager in developing market strategies and achieving growth objectives for your territory.
  • Distributor Collaboration: Work with NSM & RSM to identify and implement creative strategies to enhance existing distributor partnerships.

  • Quickly learns, acquires, and applies a deep understanding of the synthetic turf industry.
  • Possesses strong verbal communication skills, articulate, and able to build strong relationships with diverse audiences inside and outside Motz.
  • Comfortable spending most of the time prospecting via phone and email.
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience in concise and technical communication.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experienced with CRM systems for prospect and customer tracking.
  • Minimal travel required.
Professional Qualifications:
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • 2-5+ years’ experience in sales with an emphasis on recruiting new business.
  • Experience prospecting via phone and email.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working remotely.
