Job Overview:
As a Sales Hunter, your primary responsibility will be to drive new business development and generate leads in the Panel Builders industry. You will be tasked with identifying new sales opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and closing deals that contribute to the growth of our business. This is a high-energy, target-driven role where you will leverage your industry knowledge, communication skills, and passion for sales to build a strong pipeline of new customers.
Ability to work from a home office in Ontario, and travel 40-60% of the time across the sales region of Southwest Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect New Business: Identify, target, and prospect potential clients in industries requiring panel climate solutions, including but not limited to manufacturing, industrial automation, solar, energy, and utilities.
Lead Generation: Actively generate leads through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging online tools to identify decision-makers within target organizations.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with company goals to generate new business and increase market share.
Client Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the panel building industry.
Present Solutions: Effectively present our climate solutions to potential clients, tailoring your pitch to meet their specific business needs and challenges.
Channel/Distributors: Work with end users and have an understanding of selling through a channel/distribution model
Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure client needs are met and project specifications are clear.
Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify new sales opportunities and differentiate our products in the market.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline reports using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
Experience: Proven track record of success in a B2B sales role within the automation, electrical, or industrial sector, with at least 3-5 years of experience as a Sales Hunter or in a similar business development role.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the panel industry, including market trends, technical requirements, and client needs.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and and sell against a National competitor.
Drive & Tenacity: Self-motivated. The ability to grow a territory, increase market share, and develop relationships with end users and distributors.
Travel: Willingness to travel regularly (regional/national) to meet clients and attend industry events.
